PopForum8 and ASP.NET 1.1

I am working on a system which is currently using the version 1.1 of the ASP.NET framework. However we will be migrating to using version 3.5 in the new year. However we would like to use Pop Version 8.

I presume version 8 of Pop Forums can still work with version 1.1 of the .NET framework, but the later features like AJAX are unavailable

Am I correct in this assumption, or should we look at using version 7 of Pop Forums.

If I were to use version 7 of the Pop Forum where can I download it from ?

Also when is version 8 going to moved on from it's Beta status ?

No, v8 uses a number of C# 3.0 features, so it does require the later version of the framework.

v7 is no longer available.

A refresh of the v8 build should come soon, but I don't have a specific timeline in mind yet. Probably before the end of November.
